Play-a-thon Volunteers Needed

Are you ready to volunteer for this year’s Play-a-thon?

WE NEED YOU!

The countdown is on to our biggest event of the year and there are still many open volunteer spots. We need chaperones for short supervisory shifts, and we need food contributions in order to feed all of our musicians a delicious taco dinner!

If you would like to help out but can’t commit to a full shift or you have any questions email Kristy Oliver at volunteer.coordinator@clevelandbandspdx.com

Play-a-thon 2022

Let’s get the fundraising out of the way now so we can focus on the music!  Please share our GoFundMe link far and wide.

Money raised at the Play-a-thon supports all aspects of our program and covers a variety of costs such as purchasing sheet music, subsidies for performance attire, travel to festivals and parades, solo and ensemble registrations, specialist teacher support, among others.

Rather than charge a mandatory fee for band, Mr. Riler and the Friends of Cleveland Bands feel strongly that access should be available to all. This is why we ask friends and family to support the program with tax-deductible donations that are meaningful and appropriate to them. We do not want to limit any student’s ability to participate!

Wind Symphony & Jazz Ensemble Concert Attire

A document was sent home with the Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensemble students. Here is a link to the document.

If your student musician already has concert attire, it is IMPERATIVE that they try on their current attire to be sure everything still fits.  Separate tux pieces can be purchased directly from Mr. Formal, if parts of a tux do not fit or must be replaced.

Regardless of choice, all payments (except for individual tux parts) will go to Cleveland HS.  We will order the attire through our bookkeeper.  You can pay by check (Payable to Cleveland HS), or use SCHOOL PAY.  Please submit payment by October 12.
